Not Your Typical Papier Mache Art
My name is DiVitto Kelly and I'm a paper mache artist and instructor. I enjoy incorporating the vivid colors of tropical Southwest Florida into many of my sculptures to enhance their playfulness, from sunset orange sharks to five-foot Key Lime Pie slices (complete with lime twist and whipped cream dollop). I also enjoy recreating sculptures from retro picture books and forgotten sugary cereal characters. I also teach fun, interactive papier mache craft programs for children and adults at libraries, schools, aquariums, and nature centers. Enjoy!

DiVitto is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and currently resides in North Carolina. He has a master’s degree in Library Science/Media Specialist from the University of South Florida and was the former editor/reporter for the Seminole Tribune, the official newspaper of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. A certified diver, DiVitto is a papier mache artist/instructor creating everything from 10-foot sharks to giant Pop-Tarts. DiVitto is also a writer with multiple novels, a short story collection, screenplays, and a TV sitcom based on his offbeat experiences working in public libraries.
